Malaysia expedition (May 23)

The Kashima youth team departed Japan on the 22nd for Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to participate in the Frenz International Cup 2016. Just before arrival, they received a surprise message of encouragement for the Kashima youth team during the in-flight announcement. They arrived shortly after 6 AM. After immigration, they traveled for about four hours by bus and arrived at their hotel in Johor Bahru.

After checking in, they had lunch and then headed to STADIUM UTM, the venue for the next day's match. Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) is one of the leading national universities in the country, established in 1904, with 14 faculties primarily focused on science and engineering. The extensive campus boasts excellent sports facilities, and one of these magnificent stadiums will host the FIC Group B matches.

After checking out the stadium, they trained on a pitch within the UTM facilities. Even at 5 PM, the temperature was quite high, and the players trained while feeling the effects of the different climate, pitch conditions, and travel fatigue.
