Parent-Child Soccer in Kamisu

On Wednesday, August 19th, a "Parent and Child Soccer" event was held at Kamisu Yatajima Soccer Field for kindergarteners, first and second graders from the Kamisu school, and their parents. While regular school sessions only involve coaches and children, this time parents could also play soccer with their children, and an incredible 36 parent-child pairs participated.
The weather was cool, making it easy to move around even without wind, but the venue was filled with more excitement than usual, and many people were sweating, seen happily rehydrating together.

This time, we divided everyone into 10 teams and played many matches on 5 courts, rotating opponents. Everyone enjoyed the team divisions, with some teams comprising children who usually practice together at school and their parents, while others formed opposing teams and challenged each other to a match.

The children actively pursued the ball and scored many goals on shooting opportunities. Not to be outdone by the children, the fathers were notably active, cutting off the children's shots, and during attacks, one father would cross the ball for another father to leap for. Mothers also participated, seen chasing the ball together with their children while cheering them on.

After the matches, a grand lottery was held. First, in the parents' category, prizes like half-pants and socks were awarded, with the final grand prize being an Antlers beer mug. The father who won it was extremely delighted.
Next, the children's category was held, where Antlers study goods were up for grabs. Non-sale posters and a Shika-o kun long cushion also appeared, and the children earnestly wished to win, receiving their prizes happily when they did.
