Okawa's winning goal secures a second consecutive victory!
Matchday 7 of the Prince Takamado Trophy JFA U-18 Football Premier League 2024 EAST was held at the Kashima Soccer Stadium Subground against Shohei High School.
After a 3-0 victory in the previous home match against Aomori Yamada, the team united to prepare for the Shohei match, aiming for consecutive wins.

In the first half, the team maintained compact defense high up the pitch against the opponent's build-up, transitioning from good defense to good offense.

Kashima Youth, who gained momentum by maintaining intense pressure from the front, saw 40 Yoshida quickly react to a clearance from 4 Okawa, entering the penalty area. The shot from 11 Cho after the cutback narrowly missed the goal.

Even in the second half, Kashima Youth's pressing from the front prevented the opponent from playing freely.
In the 87th minute of the closely contested match, 4 Okawa scored the opening goal with a header from a set piece.

They held on to their precious one-goal lead, securing a 1-0 victory.
The team will diligently prepare for the "48th Japan Club Youth Football Championship (U-18) Kanto Tournament," which begins on Saturday, May 25th.
